Vada is a popular, hot, and spicy snack in South India that's often eaten with tea. Here are some recipes for making vada: 

Paruppu Vadai

Masala Vada

Chickpea flour (besan) is the main ingredient for the batter, but you can also use wheat flour. 

Vadas can be served with rasam, sambar, or coconut chutney.
