If you were asked to choose three
things in life, following those would give you the best lifetime experience:
simplicity, patience, and compassion.
Simplicity in life involves
focusing on what's important, letting go of what's not, and finding joy in the
present.
Simplicity can have positive
effects on both individuals and the world around them.
It means that keeping things
simple is really smart, even though it might seem basic. When we understand and
embrace simplicity, it brings a lot of good things. It makes things more
beautiful and easier to understand. It also helps us be better people, take
better care of the Earth, and be more creative.
Patience is a virtue. The
ability to wait in hope and expectation even when it seems as if things are not
working out as planned is a gift.
Patience is your ability to
wait without becoming annoyed, upset, or angry. It's when you exercise
self-control rather than lashing out and complaining. You're being patient when
you take deep breaths and seek inner peace after things don't go the way you
hoped. Practicing patience is all about how you act.
Patience gives you the power to
handle difficulties and problems because you didn't deplete spiritual energy
creating impatience while the problems were unresolved. Patience is your
original nature. It's a sign of royalty, dignity and inner strength. Meditate
every morning and fill yourself with peace.
Compassion is a natural human
emotion that involves feeling for others and being motivated to help relieve
their suffering.
Compassion can be expressed
through actions like helping someone in need, offering words of comfort,
listening with understanding, volunteering, and speaking up against injustice.
At heart, compassion is a way of
life. It is a mind-set that shapes the way we view and interact with the
world. To live with compassion means committing to cultivating this mind-set
and taking action stemming from it daily.
Lao Tzu, an ancient Chinese
philosopher, said “I have just three things to teach: simplicity, patience,
compassion. These three are your greatest treasures.” This is still true
today. Living with simplicity, patience, and compassion will make life
much more peaceful, rewarding, and joyful.
