WHY DOLLS ARE PERFECT GIFTING OPTION FOR BOYS AND GIRLS

Navarathri or Dussehra is round the corner and every one is gearing up for the festival.

One important aspect in the festival is gifting children, it is mostly dolls.

Dolls are perfect for role play, as they offer children the opportunity to imagine themselves as caregivers, parents, or even doctors or teachers. By engaging in role-play with dolls, children can develop empathy, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Allowing each of your toddlers to be exposed to a variety of toys can help them develop interests and explore new ways of playing and thinking. So if your son plays with a doll, for example, it can help him to learn how to be more caring and nurturing.
Dolls can help children to develop their social and cognitive skills, learn empathy, build self-confidence, and gain an understanding of their own feelings and those of others. Dolls also allow children to express their own ideas and to think outside the box.
This not only for girls, or meant for girls alone, boys can benefit from self-expression facilitated by doll play especially with more diverse representation among dolls. Distinctly different dolls also facilitate conversations on skin colour, gender, race, identity, and more.
Children can learn important skills like empathy, communication, problem-solving, and creativity by playing make-believe and taking on roles. Doll play can also help kids express and control their feelings, learn about them, and find ways to deal with them.
Historically Indian toys date back to 5000 years. The excavated toys and dolls found in Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro included small carts, dancing woman, etc. India has a rich culture of storytelling through its toys. Our ancestors have been preserving this culture by making toys which show a perspective of life.
Gifting dolls, toys for children during Navarathri is an age old custom practiced in India.
In northern India, the story of Krishna's birth (Janmashtami) is related in its entirety by means of clay dolls. In South India, the Dasara festival is called Bommai Kolu or a display of dolls. The first wooden dolls are given to a girl from her parents during her marriage and are called Marapachi Bommai.
With regard to  toys in Tamil Nadu ,Choppu Saman is a traditional role play toys for kids. All the utensils are either made up of fine wood with polished edges or clay and painted with harmless natural colors. More details here
