HOW TO MAKE FINE FLOWERS LAST LONG IN GLOSSY GLASS JARS

 


We all love flowers and like to arrange them in our house. The arrangement vary basing on the container, vase or pot which we use. The glass pots  are stylish, light weight, easy to manage and looks elegant.
There is something magical and charming when the sunlight filters through your glass jar and all the petals and stems illuminate. If sealed properly you should be able to enjoy your herbarium for a year before it starts to fade.
 How to maintain the flowers at its best  in a glass bottle ?
Let's take a look  in simple steps:
Add water every two to three days and replace it every three to five, depending on cloudiness. Re-cut stems by an inch to let them drink more fully when replacing water. Keep flowers away from direct heat and air sources.
The maximum shelf life of roses are generally one to one and half week if they are properly taken care of. However few tips like cutting the stem before putting them on water filled vase helps in extending the longevity of the rose. Also, adding sugar in the water keeps the rose alive for long.
How to preserve flowers?
Remove the excess leaves, cut the stems down to fit in the jar you're using, and tie the flowers together with string. Hang them upside-down in a cool, dark place for at least 2 weeks. Once they're dry, spray them with hairspray to help them last longer. Then, arrange them in the jar and seal it with a lid.
Once the flower is completely dry, you can arrange it for display in a jar or vase. Flowers will last for several weeks to months using this method. You can also use florist's foam to keep your arrangements securely in place.
