Social responsibility is an ethical theory in which individuals are accountable for fulfilling their civic duty, and the actions of an individual must benefit the whole of society. In this way, there must be a balance between economic growth, the welfare of people, and the environment.

 Social responsibility is an ethical framework in which a person works and cooperates with other people and organizations for the benefit of the community. Social responsibility from businesses such as providing recycling bins can in turn provide opportunities for people to be socially responsible by recycling.

 Social responsibility describes the awareness, understanding, and appreciation of people and surrounding environments.

 In a community, this can manifest as people volunteering their time, skills, or resources to support local causes, charities, or community initiatives. For example, individuals may participate in food drives, mentorship programs, or environmental clean-up efforts to improve the well-being of the community.
