AN UNIQUE TEMPLE WITH KANAGA VIMANAM

   





The Divyakshetram TIRUMANIKOODAM is located closer to Tirunangur, 8Kms from Sirkazhi in TamilNadu. This is also one of the 11 Tirumangai Azhwar Divya Kshetram. 

The presiding deity is Varadaraja Perumal also known as ManiKooda Nayakan in standing posture. The Goddess is Tirumaamagal Nachiyar (Sri Devi) with BhooDevi in the same sanctum. The sacred water is Chandrapushkarini and the sanctum sanctorum is Kanaga vimanam.

Tirumangai Azhwar Mangalaasaasana Ustavam during the Tamil month of Thai is an important festival.
