Love is a
set of emotions and behaviors characterized by intimacy, passion, and
commitment. It involves care, closeness, protectiveness, attraction,
affection, and trust. Love is most likely influenced by both biology and
culture.
Love is the core of our lives. It is the purpose, passion and meaning of life.
To love and be loved is the point of it all. Yet love, so important and central
to our lives, is a complex experience and a confusing word.
LOVE IS THE
BUZZ WORD these days, as FEBRUARY 14th -today is celebrated as Valentine’s
Day
In fact, many are of the view that
it can be celebrated by anyone who wants to express their affection for someone
special, regardless of their relationship status. Valentine's Day is a day for celebrating love, not just romantic love
between couples. It's a day to celebrate the love we have for our
friends, family members, and even ourselves. But it is popular among couples or
two people who are in a relationship.
Love, as a source of motivation and
energy, transforms us into a better
version of ourselves. Being loved makes you feel safe; it gives you a
reason to believe in yourself. Unconditional love starts an engine inside you,
opening all kinds of doors.
Love is described as an energy by virtue of its capacity to produce
effects. The highest form of energy on this planet is love. All energy
vibrates at different levels, but love vibrates at the highest frequency. In
our daily lives, we often forget to pay attention to our surroundings, but if
we stop what we are doing for just a moment, we can feel the energy of love all
around us.
LOVE IN A COUPLE:
It is wanting to be there for someone, to support
them and help them grow; to make a difference in someone's life; to share in
and care about someone else's happiness and struggles other than your own. Even
when it's hard. Even, and especially, when you don't really want to. Usually romantic couple are termed as Love Birds
Healthy relationships
involve honesty, trust, respect and open communication between partners and
they take effort and compromise from both people. There
is no imbalance of power. Partners respect each other's independence, can make
their own decisions without fear of retribution or retaliation, and share
decisions.
IS LOVE HEALTHY
Yes , loving relationships make us happy, but
they also keep us healthy. From improving our immune system and blood pressure
to helping us heal quicker and enjoy life longer, a happy relationship is
life's greatest medicine. Go ahead, take that free hug. It's good for you.
High levels of
dopamine and a related hormone, norepinephrine, are released during attraction. These chemicals make us giddy, energetic, and
euphoric, even leading to decreased appetite and insomnia – which means
you actually can be so “in love” that you can't eat and can't sleep.
LOVE OF ONE’S LIFE :
It generally means that you are the person he / she wants/needs for life and
they will love you for life and you are precious like their life to them .
So if someone has said you that , your are lucky enough!
In true love, both
partners recognize and value each other's individuality, opinions, and feelings.
They listen without judgment and show consideration for each other's needs and
wishes. Respect in true love means treating each other with kindness and honor,
even in disagreements.
LOVE BOOST ENERGY:
Love your partner: doing so will boost your
energy, according to research in the journal Psychophysiology. The study
authors tested participants' blood glucose levels before and after they thought
about their partners, and found that they experienced a boost at 10 and 25
minutes after.
Noradrenaline causes
the feelings of euphoria, and the physiological responses of a faster heart
rate, butterflies in the stomach and increased energy. At the
same time, other brain areas are deactivated. Reduced activity in the frontal
cortex reduces negative emotions and judgements.
LOVE IN LITERTAURE
In literature, love is often portrayed as a
powerful and transformative force that can bring people together, tear them
apart, inspire great acts of heroism or terrible acts of betrayal, and
ultimately shape the course of human lives.
So it's no wonder that love is one of the most
frequently delved-into themes in literature. It
defies boundaries by appearing across all genres, age groups, and periods in
history. And like in real life, the presence of love can make a story
acutely heartfelt and memorable, regardless of the outcome.
Love is one of the most universal themes in
literature, as in life. In fact, the theme of love is underpins many of the
stories we know. Love can be a force for good
that inspires people to sacrifice themselves for others, or a toxic force that
drives people to madness or violence.
The theme of
love appears in novels within many genres, as it can discuss the love of
people, pets, objects, and life. Love is a complex concept, so there are still
unique takes on this theme being published every day.
LITERARY COUPLE I LOVE:
Jim and Della from THE GIFT OF
THE MAGI – A short story by O.HENRY were my favourite romantic couple from the
day I read the story. Della Dilingham Young fondly called Della and James
fondly called as Jim were the love couple who were very much in love with each
other. They don't have much in the way of material possessions, but they have
each other and are willing to sacrifice their most precious possession in order
to bring joy to the other.
Jim and Della are among the
wisest of wise men because their love for
each other was selfless and priceless. More over they
understand that their love for one another and their willingness to sacrifice
is more important and valuable than any material good they have.
The story ends with the narrator
declaring that those who sacrifice their material possessions for the people
they love are as wise as the magi.
Thus LOVE –
in the form of an energy exists everywhere in the universe and transcends space
and time, filled with compassion and benevolence. As a
force of nature, it's always working towards making good things happen in this
world and human beings.

DeleteLove is always glowing with its own glory. Whatever be the form of love, it's eternal and unconditional. - Swarnali Nath
ReplyDeleteTrue.
DeleteLove is truly the most positive emotion in this world. But like you said, it has to be balanced. I read the Gift of the Magi ages back, but yes, it's all about taking care of each other, and staying in love.
ReplyDeleteExactly.
ReplyDeleteLove is present in everyones life, all that differs is the eye to vizualize it. Love is not just between a man and a woman but also in other relations we have. Love gives you the reason to be positive and hopeful in life. Love teaches you the art of sacrifice for the people you love..... but there is a hidden aspect of self love. You sacrifice for one when you consider him/her as an important part of your life. I call it self love... if you have self love trust me it becomes easy to love people around you.
ReplyDeletewell said.
DeleteI do remember that short story of Jim and Della from THE GIFT OF THE MAGI by O Henry, it showed true love is willing to sacrifice for the other. You have wonderfully brought to light the different aspects of love and how it affects our lives with its light.
