MASALA MATTERS A LOT IN INDIAN CUISINE

The number 1 spice in India is Garam masala. This spice is used in many Indian cuisine and commonly used in every Indian household. India's most famous seasoning is Garam masala. It's actually a combination of dried spices including pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, cumin, coriander, tej patta, pepper, and some others. It is the used in many dishes, including Chana Masala.

India is one of the countries in the world which extensively uses spices in most of the delicious meals included within the Indian Cuisine. Many foreigners, whether they try 'authentic' or actual Indian food always complain about the spiciness of the taste.

Masala means “spice mixture” and a spice powder is the ground powder of the whole spice mixture. According to Ayurvedic medicine, these powders are believed to raise body temperature. Each type of spice powder has a key ingredient that gives it a unique flavor to the dish in which it is used.

The masala is important in cooking because it adds depth and richness of flavour to the dishes. It can be used to create both mild and spicy dishes, depending on the ingredients used. The masala is also believed to have health benefits, such as aiding in digestion and helping to fight off infections.

Flavor enhancement and reduced sodium intake: Using masala powders in your cooking can add depth, complexity, and flavor to your dishes, allowing you to reduce the amount of salt or sodium used. This is particularly beneficial for individuals who need to monitor their sodium intake due to conditions like hypertension.

When choosing a masala, it is important to consider the source and quality of the spices and herbs used in the blend. A good quality masala will use fresh, high-quality spices and herbs, while a poor quality masala will use stale, low-quality spices and herbs. The source of the masala is also important.
