On the 1st of January 2023 sunday, I was bit busy on a vacation and didn't went through the Newspaper. Few days later I sat up to read all the newspaper that I missed for the past week.
In The Hindu newspaper's Sunday magazine supplement a review caught my eye with the headline "WHEN A CHILD DREAMS" by Vineetha Mokkill. (Read the full review here) Upon reading the full review I decided to read the book and added it to my TBR .
Interestingly Blogchatter in the TBR for the month of February welcomed to recommend the Translated book for the community. I jumped with joy as I found a superb book of translation to recommend which the community will surely relish.
As I was planning to buy the book, my thought on the Goethe Institute Library popped up and within a short time I visited the library in search of the book.
The Librarian was kind enough to make quick entry of the book in their ledger and issued a copy to me to take home. The days ahead with the book was fascinating and I turned to the book as soon as I steal the time for my daily routines.
Returned the book to the Library and upon their request presented a review of the book through a reel which they uploaded in their FB page. (Go through the reel here)
Shared about this book in the blogchatter's #TBR challenge, and the book found a place in the the list of recommended books by the blogging community.
One fine day IIHS organised an interview with Christropher Kloebe -the author of the book THE MUSEUM OF THE WORLD and Rekha Kamath Rajan - the Translator. For this they invited questions from the interested audience. I sent my questions and happy to share with you all that the author answered by question. It was an absolute delight to be part of the conversation. You can watch the same here
The adoration for the book brought me the chance to interact with the author. The technology enables the reach and bridges the reader and the author in a simple way.
One more incident of the Books &Authors, Author interview session was with Vijay Thakkar - the author of the book EATING LESS IS MAKING YOU FAT.
An Instagram meet was conducted by writers melon and I was lucky enough to be a spectator of this session. Here also my question was answered by the author and it was inordinate to get to know more about the concept behind writing such a book . The session was highly interactive, the author was patient enough to clear the queries of many of the readers.
The reason about these two interviews being special are : I read the book, presented the review, dropped questions to the author about the book and they were answered.
Author interview's are highly helpful for the author's to promote their book and it is an unique chance for the readers to familiarize about the author's intention in writing the book as well as to clear their doubts about the book.
Author interview's are a notable chance for reader's to listen to acclaimed authors. Blogchatter's has provided many a such opportunities to bloggers by conducting author interview's and book discussions.
Which author's interview were you had a chance to be in the Live session? Do share it in the comments.
