1. Most paper is made from the pulped wood of trees.
2. Softwood logs are broken into pieces and treated with chemicals in a pulping machine, which converts the wood into a mass of fibres known as pulp.
3. Wet wood pulp flows on to a paper making machine.
4. Water is sucked out, and the damp paper passes through rollers and cylinders that press and dry it.
5. Recycled paper is made in the same way, using waste paper.
6. Different types of papers are : cardboard, envelope, tracing paper, textured paper, and cartridge paper.
