A KRITHI IN PRAISE OF MOTHERS



1.    Nannu Kanna Thalli is a Saint Thiagaraja’s krithi (Carnatic music composition.)
2.    It is set in the Raga Sindhu Kannada/ Kesari.
3.    This Krithi is in praise of Goddess Dharmasamvardhini-the consort of the Lord Aiyaarappar the presiding deity of Thiruvaiyaru.
4.    Here Saint Thyagaraja addresses the Goddess as his mother and requests her to protect him always.
5.    This Krithi is tribute to all the Mothers.
