Summer the hottest among all the seasons, ice
creams and mangoes may be interesting but, the heat is suffocating and sultry.
To protect and safe guard you and your family from the side effects of the
summer is to
: Plan for a vacation in a hill station. - If
time &everything permits, it’s the best time to spend in a hill stations
with weather conditions apt for the season.
: Try to avoid going out during 12pm and 3 pm
– because at this time the temperature will be at its peak.
: wear only cotton clothes – with light
colours that take less heat and absorbs too soon, which helps to avoid rashes
and allergies
: hydrate yourself - have more water, tender
coconuts, fruit juices or ORH at regular intervals, don’t wait till you feel
thirsty.
: make
short hair cuts for children – which helps to keep away from excess sweat and
their by no cold and cough.
: spend
evenings in outdoors - the parks, terrace or beaches to get more cool breeze
and time to get away from electric fans.
: use sun screen lotions – though many use
caps, umbrellas and other items to keep away the ill effects of sunrays, it’s
always better to use sunscreen lotions or other prescribed creams to avoid skin
tan.
: Eat
lot of fruits - fruits like water melons, musk melons, ice apple a loaded with
lots of vitamins &minerals which helps to compensate the loss due to sweat.
: No to hot &spicy food – it’s better to
have less hot &spicy foods during summer, to free oneself from indigestion
and dehydration problems

Two times a day – Don’t forget to take bath at least twice a day to keep
yourself free from sweat, body odour and other dermatological problems. Use
prickle heat powder if required.
