START YOUR DAY WITH SUNLIGHT

At the start of the day we pray and love to be active and energetic for the rest of the day. One of the essential for that is a good night’s sleep about which we dealt in yesterday’s blogpost. After we wake up, the first thing to do as suggested by Ruskin Bond is to make our bed.

Next to it, welcome the SUN by letting in the Sunlight throw your windows. Open all the windows and let the sunrays come inside your home. IF front yard and backyard of your home as any open space then open those doors also.

Allowing the sunlight into your home as the first thing in the morning will be a good sign of strength and energy. - Especially the sunlight in the hours of 7 am to 9 am.

The Human body requires natural sunlight to produce sufficient amounts of vitamin D in order to maintain strong bones. Experts believe that exposure to early morning sunlight (from 7am to 9 am) for 10 to 15 minutes not only helps in boosting the levels of Vitamin D in the body but also benefits the Immune system. This is a universally known fact.

Apart from these Sunlight helps boost a chemical in your brain called serotonin, and that can give you more energy and help keep you calm, positive, and focused.

It elevates mood by boosting serotonin levels — also referred to as the “happiness hormone” — making you calm yet alert. It improves sleep. The brighter your exposure to the sun in the daylight hours, the more melatonin you produce at night, which improves sleep, synchronizes your biological clock and lowers stress.

Also, when your skin absorbs sunlight and produces vitamin D, that cycle triggers the production of dopamine as well as serotonin, meaning time in the sun can boost your dopamine levels. A 2018 study found that vitamin D may protect dopaminergic neurons against neuroinflammation and oxidative stress.

Though little amount, the sunlight through the open windows will help those who are unable to go out for walking or exercising in the early hours of the day because of their tight schedules or house holds chores

Morning is considered to be the best time for sun exposure. Sitting in the sun during morning hours for 10-20 minutes is considered sufficient.

The best time and the amount of time needed in the sun will depend on several factors as well. If you are living in a hilly region with access to bright sunshine in the early hours, then 8-9 am is the best time for you.

Anyhow make sun your first friend of the day and never miss a chance to be with him and feel energetic throughout the day.
