STORYTELLING IN NON FICTION BOOKS

Blogchatter conducts writer's festival every year in the month of May. I had the opportunity of attending it this year which is my second time to participate in this program.

I was eager to attend this session as a fan of Ashdin Doctor. His book CHANGE HABITS, CHANGE LIFE was an engaging read and I had the chance of reviewing the book through Blogchatter's Book review program. Read the review here and I'm definite that you will love to buy the book. Book buy link is also is available in the same page.

As a part of #BlogchatterWritFest2023, the session with Ashdin Doctor and Reema Ahmad was about STORYTELLING IN NON FICTION BOOKS

No doubt it was an interesting and educating session discussing more than just writing. " Editing, marketing, book signing and talking about the book" makes the writers journey challenging rather than writing  confirms Ashdin.

The session started with an introduction by Sonia Dogra about the two writers who were part of this (23-5-23) evenings FB LIVE at 7 Pm.

The session was smooth  with relevant questions  like

"'How to make non fiction interesting for readers?"

"How to keep up privacy of other people while writing about them?"

"How to set up research for writing non fiction?"

They patiently answered all the questions through out the session that lasted for about 45 minutes. Both the writers who were established in their selected streams insisted to continue "Learning"  when asked about the one thing that is  essential  for creativity.  "while writing it is necessary to free yourself and open up" points out Reema Ahmad

Both the writers echoed  to implement in writing  the "Honesty of expression". The writers were asked to share the impact of their multiple roles in their writings.

More over Ashdin suggested to have  a routine of writing with an attention to the word count and not to edit while writing. This is a habit that needs to be in the writers day.

If anyone of you wish to listen to the session just stop here
