1. There are two species of camel: the Arabian and the
Bactrian. Both gain nourishment from desert plants, and store it in their
humps.
2. When food is scare, fat in the humps is used up and they
shrink.
3. Arabian camels can lose up to one third of their body fluid; they can, however, drink 100 liter at one time.
