The Great Magician by Egor Klopenko
and illustrated by Asantao (Anastasiya
Pachina) is an extraordinary work that brings real magic into the lives of
children, helping them understand how nature is formed, how to enjoy it, and
why it is the best supporter of human survival on Earth.
This is my second read from Egor,
following his book on kindness, and I’m very happy to review it. The author
introduces the magician in a way that immediately draws readers in, revealing
his purpose and the work he does, focusing primarily on children, though later
extending his magic to adults as well.
Throughout the book, in ten
chapters, Egor provides creative and convincing explanations to help children
overcome their fear of darkness. The magician, with his powers, brings in
moons, stars, flowers, fireflies, and many other wonders, turning dark nights
into moments of beauty and comfort.
Gradually, the book moves toward
its core: the real magic. Without holding back, the magician explains to
children what magic truly is and how they can create it in their lives.
“How wonderful it would be if children could learn
to turn darkness into
light,
To shape their own lives into one of happiness,
and turn their tears into joy!”
This section is particularly
powerful—reasonable, practical, and inspiring—encouraging children to make
their world beautiful and harmonious with nature.
“The more magic the children had,
the brighter and kinder the world would be.”
This isn’t just a children’s book;
it carries an important message for adults as well. During times of global
unrest, this book feels like what’s needed right now. Egor deserves full credit
for creating a child-friendly and inspiring work that gives the next generation
hope, creativity, and the vision to live in harmony with nature.
I wholeheartedly recommend picking
up a copy—let your children explore the magician’s wisdom, and maybe you’ll
find a touch of magic for yourself too.
(Received a copy of the book in the PDF format from Booksirens in return of an honest review)
