The most common underlying reasons
for a child's apparent “laziness” include: Depression (sadness, apathy,
lethargy, concentration difficulties) Anxiety (fear of failure or disappointment,
perfectionism) Cognitive deficit (ADHD, Learning Disability, Asperger's)
Encourage them to be active. Kids
who are active and engaged in physical activity are less likely to be lazy. So
encourage them to participate in activities they enjoy, such as sports, dance,
or martial arts. This will help them stay physically and mentally healthy, and
it will also give them something to be proud of.
. Along with numerous other
benefits, exercise is a surefire way to get rid of laziness. Just a few
minutes of exercise can increase energy levels, improve mood, and reduce
anxiety, stress, and depression — all of which can make you feel drained and
unmotivated.
Learning to encourage and praise
your child when he or she does well is a great motivation that will make him or
her always do more. Appreciate every little effort contributed to getting work
completed; this will excite and increase his or her appetite for more
responsibility.
When we praise children for their
effort and help them see falling short as an opportunity to learn and improve
(rather than simply focus on the outcome), they will be more motivated to work
hard and more likely to believe that they can achieve what they put their mind
to.
These two simple steps are sure to
impart the importance of not to be lazy in children.
