WHITE COLOUR IS THE WISE CHOICE

Whether it is the paint or the brick, choose the white colour wisely. Let see how it works?

“Dark-colored homes absorb 70 to 90 percent of the radiant energy from the sun, which is then absorbed into the home. White — or other light, neutral colors — will reflect most of the heat away from your home,” confirms an architect and   It's no surprise white came up as the color that stayed the coolest from the results. Temperature readings showed the surfaces of the white shirts wavered around 86 degrees Fahrenheit, which is considerably low compared to the 122 degrees Fahrenheit of the dark green shirts.

Paints with more reflective particles will reflect more light, keeping the paint cooler. Lighter colors, including pale blues and greens, are typically cooler. But, the color white is one of the coolest paint colors to help cool a home.

As far back as the 1970s, scientists and manufacturers had been developing whiter and whiter paints to help reflect sunlight and keep buildings and other surfaces cool.  Commercially available white paints keep buildings cooler than dark paints because they reflect 80-90% of the sun's rays.

Whitewash the Roof to reduce Heat during summer:

Before the summer appears if you whitewash the terrace floor the heat absorption reduces remarkably. The sun's rays bounced back while it fell on the roof. This is called the Albedo effect. This method helps to reduce the temperature by up to 4 degrees.

Look no further than Aegon Cool Roof Paint. This heat-reflective paint is specially formulated to reflect sunlight and prevent heat from being absorbed into your building, keeping your terrace and interiors cool and comfortable.

Apart from whitewashing the terrace, if you are into constructing a new building use white bricks. white brick homes are energy efficient. The light color reflects heat in the summer, making it easier to keep your home cool. And in the winter, the bricks help to retain heat, making it easier to stay warm.
