INDULGE IN THE TASTY CAKE OF DATE AND WALNUT

 


1. Wash, deseed. chop and soak dates in water mixed with soda bi-carb overnight.  

2. Chop walnuts

3. Sieve flour with baking powder.

4. Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy

5. Beat eggs separately and add gradually to the mixture beating well.

6. Fold in the flour alternatively with the dates.

7. Put in a lined tin and bake at 150 degrees Fahrenheit for about 45 minutes.
