CHOOSE THE BEST RAGA ACCORDING TO THE TIME OF THE DAY






  The music of India includes multiple varieties of classical music, folk music, filmi, and Indian pop. Indian classical music is divided into two main traditions: Carnatic and Hindustani . Folk music is an important part of India's musical heritage and is characterized by its own unique rhythms, melodies, and lyrics.

One of the important aspect of Indian music is its TIME THEORY.

 The time theory in Indian Classical Music suggests that Ragas are associated with time. They are to be sung at specific times in the day to create a specific mood or experience. Presenting here a series of Ragas from dawn to dusk.

These are, Raga Bhairav (dawn), Raga Hindol (spring, morning), Raga Megh (monsoon), Raga Shri (dusk), Raga Deepak (evening), and Raga Malkauns (late night and, some say, winter). Raga Basant and Bahar can be rendered any time during the vasant ritu.
Raags which have Ma shuddha are performed in the morning. Raags which have Ma teevra are performed in the evening.
Bhairavi and Peelu are most well known Ragas that can be sung or played at any time, although they have their own assigned place within the time theory.
In Carnatic music, ragas like Amrithavarshini, Reethigowlai, Nattai and Abheri are widely believed to be 'happy' ones.
 To  practice singing ,Just like our stomach, our throat and vocal cords also need some interval to come out of sleep. The scientists proved that the human voice labors finest between about 4 hours after waking and 2 hours before sleep.
where as listening to music before bed may decrease the time it takes to fall asleep and improve sleep quality. Music has been shown to decrease levels of a stress hormone called cortisol. Music triggers the release of dopamine, which can boost good feelings at bedtime and may help manage pain.
