Gossip is usually spread behind a person's back and can be very hurtful. Gossip usually involves love, relationship and other things which people usually do not talk about publicly. Additionally, gossip almost always causes pain and humiliation for the person it is about.
Gossiping is a toxic behavior that breeds distrust and bitterness, so steer clear and avoid it. Before you share a hurtful story or critical thoughts, ask yourself why you are sharing these things with this particular person. Consider what is gained versus what is lost by gossiping.
Those who are the target of gossip generally find the experience to be very painful. Being the focus of gossip is not only likely to be humiliating in the moment, it can also have a long-term negative impact on a person’s self-confidence and self-esteem.
Gossip is absolute waste of time unless they can gossip about E=mc2 or something.
