CELEBRATING GURU PURNIMA



 Guru Purnima is celebrated every year on Purnima day i.e. full moon day in the month of Ashadha i.e. from July to August and the Guru Purnima 2023 is being celebrated on 3rd July 2023. Guru Purnima expresses the Guru-Shishya relations across India, Nepal and Bhutan.

Today, on July 3, 2023, Hindus around the world are celebrating Guru Purnima, a day of immense significance in the Indian tradition.. This auspicious day is dedicated to honoring the importance of the Guru or teacher, who plays a crucial role in guiding individuals on the path of knowledge and enlightenment.
On this day, Offer flowers to the deities and then present prasad (offering) as a symbol of devotion. Chant the Guru Mantra and express gratitude to your teachers for their valuable guidance in your life. Guru Purnima is also known as Vyasa Purnima.
Vyasa Muni, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is worshipped by devotees on this day. It is believed that puja and yagna on the Guru Purnima day is performed to seek blessings of Lord Vishnu and Vyasa Muni. Similarly, worshipping of the Guru Graha (Jupiter) on Guru Purnima day is also considered auspicious.
Guru Purnima serves as a reminder of the eternal importance of knowledge, learning, and the revered Gurus who selflessly share their wisdom with the world. As devotees come together to celebrate this sacred occasion, they express their gratitude and reverence for the invaluable role Gurus play in their lives.
