Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) is undoubtedly, the greatest Indian writer. He primarily wrote in Bengali and translated them into English. He has written numerous a short stories, plays , poems and novels, including the widely -acclaimed Gitanjali. He won the Nobel prize for Literature in 1913. He was a music composer and painter as well. Tagore's contribution to Literature and to society is immense. He established Shantiniketan, now Viswa Bharathi University, on his family estate lands in 1901.
Rabindranath Tagore's "A 'Good' Man is a simple story written in a captivating style. The theme has a profound depth in psychological significance. To be good, no doubt, requires an exertion of the moral will but sometimes goodness can also be the efficacy of lack of verbal courage.
