5 POINTS ON CLAUSES


1.    A clause is a group of words, with a subject and predicate, that can express a complete meaning.

2.    A simple sentence consists of a single finite clause.

3.    Compound &complex sentences consists of coordinate & subordinate clauses.

4.    Coordinate clauses are complete and independent

5.    Subordinate clauses are incomplete &dependent clauses.
