FEW WORDS IN PRAISE OF CHENNAI

 

As a part of MADRAS DAY CELEBRATIONS, I thought to write my experience with the city where I'm residing for the past 23 years.

The city of Chennai is a place of comfort for a complete family.

The authenticity of the region is reflected in its way of life. It welcomes many and provides a humble beginning by supporting them in their quest for life.

From a new job, renting a house, and owning a car to getting married. Every special aspect covering matrimony ranging from Kalyana malai to online chats all happens at a specified place in a specified manner.

School admission creates a magical atmosphere of parents engaging in it through the New Year to their academic sessions.   Play schools, Montessori, to kindergarten all will fly in a rush.

 Then jumping to coaching classes for higher studies all at their fingertips and that too in their locality itself. Campus selection, flying abroad, or settling in Chennai’s IT hub is not a big matter.

Housing and car mela with a bunch of banks and real estate companies stepping in to offer a whole lot of options to be an owner of both the house and a vehicle is an affordable and smart choice in the life of Chennai ties.

The quality of life of a senior citizen is improving healthily. Geriatric care in Chennai hospitals is merging with the standards of global hospitals. For a mindful and spiritual way of life for the aged ones Chennai is no way short of ashrams, mutt, yoga centers, libraries, temples, parks, gymnasiums, churches, mosques, and Gurudawara and not to miss our gigantic marine.

Coming to food, no words to pen down the variety of food we get to eat in Chennai. From every corner of the world here comes a place to serve their cuisine.

Entertainment of every sort is guaranteed and the audience speaks volumes of the show for a very long time. These are organized keeping in mind the age and taste of the target audience.

Fashion is no exception in finding space in this city. It is unimaginable and a potpourri of color, brand, and style.     Beauty clinics are side-by-side booming up with boutiques.

Coming to sports it is a well-known connection with Chennai.  Ranging from Cricket, Chess, carom board, badminton, tennis, and kabaddi to martial arts every sport is making its mark in this city.

This list is endless and the role the city plays in the lives of its people is so powerful with its lasting impact.

Every member of a family has his/her favorite spot in Chennai that will keep them energized throughout their life. Once settled in this city, they will never wish to leave. This will be their comfort of home.
