Poets has the ability to compose lines that are so rich with information that by simply declaring these words the audience can see and feel the past and then gain an insight into their traditions and their identity as a people. This is why poets and their poetry play an important role in a social context.

In poetry, they could see everything that is beautiful and strange, they could break the boundaries and feel every emotion, they could just, imagine. Poems are often different lengths, uses different tenses, and most importantly, express different ideas through often strange yet reasonable ways.

Poetry is so important because it helps us understand and appreciate the world around us. Poetry's strength lies in its ability to shed a “sideways” light on the world, so the truth sneaks up on you. No question about it. Poetry teaches us how to live.
