In humans, muscles play a part in every function of the body. They help the heart beat, the chest rise and fall during breathing . When we smile and talk, they help us communicate, and when we exercise, they help us stay physically fit and healthy. In order to be healthy, attention on "Muscles'' is a must. Muscles too age as humans, at times premature ageing occurs in Muscles and it curbs the free movement of the body. To strengthen the muscles, nutrition and exercise go hand in hand. Having nutritious diet and following a exercise regimen will definitely ensure muscle strength.
Muscles are composed of about 80% protein and it is the building block because of the amino acids that helps in repair and maintaining muscle tissue. Having adequate amount of protein in the diet helps to maintain muscle mass and aids in muscle growth when combined with exercise. Muscle size increases when a person continually challenges the muscles to deal with higher level of resistance or weight. In healthy muscles also there is a constant balance between breaking down and building muscle. Resistance training signals to the muscle that it's time to build muscle, and protein is the material used for building. Therefore protein is the essential nutrient for muscle strength and the only way to strength is through strength training or "resistance" exercise. So, we can finally say that Nutrition and exercise are interconnected in strengthening muscles.
