5 POINTS ON ANALOGIES

 1. Analogy, the core of cognition is a correspondence or a co-relation between two states, situations or processes on which a comparison or  a contrast may be based.

2. Common in most of the standardized tests, analogies help in thinking coherently and logically.

3. The relation ship between the two question words needs to be established and the same relationship needs to be applied to the answer options.

4. Analogies are great ways to help someone understand an idea or subject.

5. They play a major role in problem- solving, creative- thinking, memory, explanation, perception and communication.
