FEW POINTS ON STARCH &STIFFNESS






Certain cloths require starch after washing, They retain stiffness with correct amount of starch. 

 The strength of the starch depends upon two factors:

1. The thickness of the fabric

2. The stiffness required in the article

Thin texture fabric need heavy starching were as the thick fabrics need light starching. Full strength is therefore diluted with cold water to the required strength.
