3 POINTS ON WESTINDIAN FLAMINGO

 



1. The national bird of The Bahamas, the west Indian Flamingo is also referred to as the American/ Caribbean/ Rosey Flamingo or Roseate.

2. Originally bred in Andros, Mayaguana and the Turks and Caicos Islands, this national bird is found in Bahamian regions and it can be spotted in countries such as Brazil, Cuba, Netherlands, and Antilles.

3. Located in the Bahamaas, the Andro west side National park and  the Great Inagua National park are homes to many a Roseate, which has become an endangered species.
