 1. In cool parts of the world, conifers form dense forests, and are also common on mountains.

2. Most bear narrow evergreen leaves, capable of withstanding drying winds.

c) TAXODIACEAE - Wellingtonia

d) TAXACEAE - California Nutmeg

e) CUPRESSACEAE - Monterey Cypress
