·       Words Worth’s aim as a poet is to seek for beauty in nature and to interpret this beauty in spiritual terms.
·       The Primrose and the Daffodil are symbols to him of Nature’s message to man.
·       The meter of this poem is Iambic. It follows a Quatrain couplet rhyme scheme.
·       The plot is extremely simple, depicting the poet’s wandering and his discovery of a field of daffodils by a lake, the memory of which pleases him and comforts him when he is lonely, bored or restless.
