Diwali, the festival of lights, is
one of the most anticipated celebrations in India. It's a time when families
gather, homes are lit with diyas, and the air is filled with the sound of
celebrations. The Diwali vacation is also an ideal time to take a break
from your daily routine and explore the beauty of India.
One such interesting place is
PUSHKAR in RAJASTHAN. The faster-paced horseback riding vacation allows guests
to visit and stay in some of the finest Forts and Palaces of Rajasthan, as well
as two nights in a luxury camp. Combining both Diwali and the Pushkar
Fair, two of the largest annual festivals.
In anticipation of Diwali, families,
friends, and shopkeepers decorate and glorify their homes and businesses,
assembling elaborate floral arrangements, bright lights, and neon streamers.
The streets sparkle in the evening, and fireworks burst throughout the night of
Diwali.
Pushkar is known for its temples,
which are a major tourist attraction. The spiritual significance and the
beautiful architecture of these temples make the tour very special. Each temple
is unique and is a must-visit.
Pushkar temple is made of marble
and stone stabs. Its red pinnacle (shikhara) can be seen from a distance and
the temple has a distinct hamsa (bird) motif. On Kartik Poornima during the Pushkar
Fair, the town celebrates a festival dedicated to Brahma.
Mahadev Temple: Pushkar is famous
for its beautiful and timeless temples and the Mahadev Temple is one of the
most visited temples here. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva with the major
highlights being the beautiful wall paintings, its architecture, and a
magnificent white statue of Shiva.
Pushkar Camel Fair
A five-day fair that takes place
in October and November and is one of the world's largest cattle
fairs. The fair features thousands of camels, horses, and cattle, along
with their owners, who camp in the sand dunes.
Diwali is a festival of lights
that symbolizes the victory of good over evil. During Diwali, families,
friends, and shopkeepers decorate their homes and businesses with lights,
floral arrangements, and neon streamers. In the evening, the streets are
lit up and fireworks are set off.
Things to do in Pushkar during Diwali :

But beyond its famous temples and
holy lake, Pushkar is also home to a bustling market scene that offers an
unforgettable shopping experience. It's not just the town itself that offers
great shopping, but also the many places to visit in Rajasthan that offer
unique shopping experiences.
Because of all these features
Pushkar stands as one of the best travel destinations. Do make a trip and get
hold of an excellent travel experience.
