Yes, pomegranates taste sour and sweet. Many add it by sprinkling its seeds onto  salads, oatmeal, hummus, or other dishes

 Pomegranates have a unique flavor that's a combination of sweet and tart. When you bite into a pomegranate seed or aril, you'll first taste sweetness, then a subtle tartness, and finally a clean aftertaste. The sourness of a pomegranate is mainly due to its citric acid content.

 Pomegranate paste is used in the Persian stew Fesenjan, usually made with duck or chicken. 

Where ass in India, they are widely used to garnish different Indian chaats and add a juicy flavor, making them look more appetizing.

 Popular Gujarati snacks like dabeli and amiri khaman are incomplete without the addition of pomegranate. These juicy jewels have many health benefits too.

If you dislike it because of its sour taste, Here are the popular methods to include Pomegranate, also known as anardana, which is used in many ways in Indian cooking: 

Curries and chutneys: Pomegranate seeds can be used fresh or dehydrated to add a sweet and sour flavor to curries and chutneys. The seeds also thicken the sauce. 

Salads: Pomegranate seeds can be added to salads for flavor. For example, you can add them to a chickpea salad with red pepper, onion, black pepper, and potatoes. 

Breads, muffins, and cookies: Pomegranate seeds can be used in place of raisins in sweetbreads, muffins, and cookies. 

Aloo anardana: A popular North Indian dish that uses pomegranate seeds for flavor. 

Chicken dishes: Pomegranate seeds can be used to garnish chicken dishes like chicken curry with curd or Punjabi chicken curry. 

Raita: Pomegranate seeds can be used in raita. 

Pomegranate juice or powder: Pomegranate juice or powder can also be used in recipes. 

 With these styles and procedures add pomegranate to your diet and just don’t avoid it due to its sour taste.
