LINGER AWHILE, SWEET SUMMER
Why should one wish the days to pass
Of lush and verdant meadow grass
And butterflies with stained glass wings
Which autumn’s burnished hues outclass?
As summer breeze revives the mind
As worldly cares are left behind
And gentle waves of lapping seas
Coax weary bodies to unwind
Await the golden harvest grain
But may lips linger once again
On luscious strawberries’ sweet delight;
Resplendent fruit of summer’s reign.
Life’s hourglass is finely planned
Why hasten on the grains of sand?
Let scented roses fill the air
And summer’s splendour take its stand.

Summer is the hottest season of the year. The temperature can stay
warm, even after the sun has gone down at night. There are plenty of leaves on
the trees and lots of plants are in flower. Many trees and other plants produce
fruit during summer.
The weather is hot, humid and
dry during this season, and temperature can rise extremely high in
certain places, as the Earth tilts itself towards the Sun. As the Sun shines
brightly in summer, this season is suitable for farmers to prepare for
cultivation, and we get many seasonal fruits and vegetables.
In many parts of the world, summer means longer, warmer, brighter days.
If summer is your favorite time of year, maybe it's because you love
getting outside and having an active lifestyle. The warm months of summer
are also a popular time to travel.
People get a chance to enjoy the sun and its heat. People can go outside to
enjoy the sun. People spend most of their day outside during summer. They want
to feel hot sun rays on their face and body, which makes them feel refreshed.
It's about being outside, whether on populated streets or deep in nature.
It's the season for relaxing and the pursuit of happiness. So get out! Go
camping, or at least spend the day in the woods.
Enjoy the summer.
