Chennai is all set and eagerly waiting for the Hindu Lit fest which is going to be held on Jan 26 and 27 at SIR MUTHA CONCERT HALL and THE HINDU PAVILLON.

The two day Lit fest has many extravagant line up of events featuring writers of national & International acclaim and artist from across the globe.

On the day 1 – there are about 11 events covering about our nation, freedom fighters, power couple, food, sports, etc in the main hall. Simultaneously in the other part there are about 9 events discussing poetry, humor, faith, translation to name a few. Each event is scheduled for a time limit ranging from half an hour to one hour.

The inauguration is planned to be held at 9.30 am and the day one concludes with the last event of the day ending by 8.30 - 9pm.

On the day 2 - in the main hall there are about 10 events beginning at 10.00am and wraps up by 8pm. In the HINDU PAVILION 9 events of various interests are on the list starting by 10am and concluding by 7 pm approximately.

 This year top personalities like Ramachandra Guha, Gopala Krishna Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor, Taapsee Pannu, T.M. Krishna, Perumal Murugan, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Anita Ratnam, Nirmala Lakshman, Tarun Tahiliani will be in Live discussion on diverse Literary topics.

In this there will be two topics for which discussion will be held in Tamil language. This shows the importance and prominence given to the regional language along with the International language English.

In Chennai, literary enthusiasts, bibliophiles, students, artists, writers and people from all walks of life are looking forward to this annual event and chennaities attend these in large numbers & also take part in competitions or challenges conducted for them.
