The more
you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.” Oprah Winfrey. If you focus on all the things in
your life that make you happy, then you will be happy everyday. But if you
focus on all the things that make you sad, you will wake up everyday feeling
sad, angry and resentful.
Isn’t it , the TRUTH
Let see what celebration is about ? and how it benefits us.
Celebrating life means being
thankful for what you have and optimistic about what is to come; it means respecting
traditions and novelty alike.
Celebrations allow us to put our
everyday life stresses behind us and remember the things in life that truly
matter. They
can remind us of our life purpose and how to enjoy the power of our
relationships with those around us.
When we
celebrate our successes, no matter how small, endorphins are released. These help us not only feel good but it also
reinforces the behaviours so that we will get more of this feel good feeling
again. On the other hand if you don't celebrate you are training your brain to
see those things as not important.
Celebrating
achievements triggers a cascade of psychological responses that contribute to
an individual's emotional well-being, motivation, and overall sense of
accomplishment.
Celebrations
release oxytocin, dopamine, and endorphins, which lower the stress hormone
cortisol and give us a sense of feeling good. Celebrations increase people's sense of
well-being regardless of education, age, or socioeconomic status.
Endorphins
can be triggered by laughter, dopamine by reward, and serotonin by community.
Celebration is a medley of all three triggers. And all three neurotransmitters
are likely to make an appearance. The combination helps to build happiness, and also contributes to
social bonding.
Celebrating yourself is great
for your mental health and well being.
Then why not! try to celebrate life
in small steps initially then you will start to enjoy in full doses.
