A TEMPLE FOR THE COMPOSER OF SRISUKTHAM

This Divya kshetram is 5 kms from Angamali railway station in Kerala. The presiding deity is Tirumuzhikalathan also called Srisukthinatha perumal. The Goddess is  Madhuraveni Nachiyar. The sacred water is perunkulam and the sanctum sanctorum is soundarya vimanam.

Legend has it that Hareetha Muni son of Viswamitra worshipped the Lord at this Kshetram and the Lord revealed His form and composed SriSuktham, Anushtana Prakarana and Samhita and hence this place gained the name Tirumoozhikalam.
