1. Fog is a thick
cloud of tiny water droplets suspended in the atmosphere at or near the earth’s
surface. There are two main types of fog.
2. Advection fog occurs at sea when warm, moist air flows
over cold sea water. The water vapour in the air condenses to form a layer of
fog.
3. Radiation fog occurs on land on cool, clear nights. As the
ground loses its heat, it may cool the air nearby, creating fog.
4. Mist is a light fog, while smog is fog with pollutants.
