Food is consumed both in the day as well at night. The food which is taken at the beginning of the day or the first meal of the day is know to be as breakfast. Actually after the dinner, we sleep for about 7 to 8 hours in the night, almost like fasting, (because not consuming anything during that period) so, breaking that fast is considered as breakfast. It should be consumed within two hours of waking up. There are basically two types of breakfast –these are mostly followed in Restaurants &Hotels.

Continental breakfast &English breakfast

The continental breakfast originated in Europe. It is the light meal as the Europeans normally have a heavy midday meal. The English breakfast runs into six or seven courses.

Continental breakfast consists of bread rolls or toast, jam, honey or marmalade and rounded off with tea or coffee. Some may take brioches and croissants.

English breakfast is more elaborate &offers choice of juices, cereal courses, choice of eggs, meat courses, toast with jam & finally tea or coffee.

Breakfast in India:
In India there are many varieties of dishes and options available for breakfast. Traditional Indian breakfast is full with cereals, grains, pulses, curd, fruits & vegetables. Fried foods are also included – both deep fried & shallow fried items. The Indian breakfast may seem to be heavy, but the concept is it is taken before the start of the day’s work &they should be energised till noon.

  Broadly speaking Indian cuisine can be classified into two types: North Indian &South Indian

A typical south Indian breakfast consists of Idlli, vada, dosa with chutney &sambar. Popular dishes are pongal, bisibella bath, upma, & poori. In Kerala -Appam parota, puttu & idiyappam are famous ones.

North Indian breakfast includes roti with vegetable curry, curd or pickles. Some also prefer paratha rather than roti. There are whole lot of stuffing are prepared for parathas. Popular break fast items are: poha & bhindi bhujjia.

Breakfast needs to fulfil all our nutritional requirements for the good start of the day. Never skip breakfast & try to have solid food that are seasonal & well suitable to your weather conditions. Do create space for ghee, nuts, grains &fibre rich foods along with fresh fruits &vegetable. Enjoy your breakfast so as to enjoy the whole day.

Started in the month of May
Went on night & day.
Lasted for sixty days
Many lost their lads.
Many spared their lives
For our better lives.
They are the dear sons of their mothers
So, they did it for their dear mother.
Many were fathers, husbands &brothers
But all were great sons.
When we are ready for friendship
They were already with warship.
Infiltrators occupied our land
Got defeated in our hand
They were not cared by their land .
Their blood was brave
So they fought bravely
And defeated the cowardly
They regained the “TIGER”
As they were tigers.
They saved their motherland
Though “she” was drenched with blood
They won’t occur it further.
Soldiers became Martyrs
And we became mourners.
Though we are not a part of it
But we should never be apart.
Though we cannot compensate
Let us substantiate.
They have done a great deed
For their brave &courage
They will be remembered for ages.
They are from nook &corners
Not the hands that made us one
But the land has made us one.
Though we never met them face to face
But for one reason they fought face to face
To protect the country men
From the foreign men
As we are all INDIANS!!!
They were in hurry
But never in worry
To serve their country.
Let us pay homage to these men
Who have left their homes for ever.
They have taught a lesson to us
They have shown a path to us

To preach &reach in our lives.

Hobbies are our free time friends irrespective of age, when a friend is away or busy in his own work, then our free time friend will be a good companion. A hobby is an activity under taken for pleasure or relaxation in one’s leisure time. Hobbies are of five different categories.
1.    Indoor 2. Outdoor 3.Collection hobbies 4.Competition hobbies 5. Observation hobbies.

Under each category comes a vast variety of task which one can engage himself in his free time without getting bored.
1.    Indoor hobbies include: Calligraphy, acting, board games, candle-making, cooking, colouring, dance, drama, drawing, embroidery, flower arranging, knitting, magic, listening to music, painting, origami, playing musical instruments, reading, puzzles, scrap booking, sewing, singing, sketching, sudoku, stand- up comedy, writing & yoga.
2.    Out- door hobbies cover: Astronomy, bird-watching, exercise, cycling, gardening, jogging, photography, running, sand-art,& shopping .
3.    Collection hobbies are sub- divided into two sets; Indoor & Out-door. Antiquing, art collecting, books, card, coins, stamps, &stones comes within the range of indoor collection hobbies. Antiquing sea shells, metals, insects &flowers fall under the out-door collection hobbies.
4.    Competition hobbies too are of two sub sections; Indoor & out door activities. Badminton, bridge, chess, debate, gymnastics, martial arts & video games fits into the indoor competition hobbies. Archery, beach volley ball, cricket, football, Frisbee, golfing, skating, squash, swimming & tennis comes under the out-door competition hobbies.
5.    Observation hobbies are also in the two sub- sets; Indoor &out door forms. Fish-keeping & reading in the indoor observation hobbies were as travelling, meteorology &astrology in the out-door observation hobbies.

This list of hobbies will help to identify the interest & cultivate it or make sure to enrich the existing one. Encourage children to pick any one of these and permit them to pursue it. Hobbies help to grow well physically &intellectually. Hobbies stand by us through -out our life. So, choose your hobby soon.

Carpet is a fabric for covering a floor. It creates a stylish ambience & enhances the beauty of the house. Carpets are available in various shapes, sizes, materials & mediums from many different countries. Carpets need to be maintained well for looking good and last long.

Let’s focus on the few tips of care &cleaning of the carpets:
Carpets can be cleaned in two ways; (a) wet cleaning or shampooing
  (b) Dry cleaning.
In wet cleaning or shampooing, a detergent which dries to a powder is advisable. When the carpet is dry, the dried detergent plus the loosened dirt can be picked up with a vacuum cleaner before the actual shampooing is carried out. With the suitable detergent diluted, as per directions using hand scrubbing or by a rotatory scrubbing machine the carpet is cleaned.

Shampooing will not kill all micro-organisms, it can be prevented by spray vacuum cleaning daily by means of a spraying device.

In the dry cleaning of carpets:

#Have a smooth, even sub floor
# Use a good under tray
#Do not use a rubber under tray for a seamed carpet
# vacuum clean frequently
# For damp dust, use brush or use vacuum cleaner attachments on the edges of the carpet at frequent intervals
# Avoid vacuum cleaning wollen carpets when very new to allow loose fibres to stiffen.
#Remove stains as soon as possible
# Do not let dry cleaning fluid come in contact with it.
#shampoo when necessary
# protect damp carpet from metal castors and legs of furniture to prevent rusted marks
# protect carpet with hearth cloth or drugget when necessary
# prevent rugs from creeping by use of rubber or rubberised net
#secure edges of carpets at doorways &staircases
#protect against damage by moth if not already moth proofed
#Attend to any wear &tear from sharp castors
#Repair torn edges and worn parts
# cut off loose ends particularly looped, never pull pile

# Jog stair carpets & carpet squares regularly.
